This milestone will be where the team truly begins the main development of the system. Now that the team has become familiarized with the programming language and frameworks, as well as the hardware, assembly and programming can start in earnest.

 

The main goal for this milestone is to have a preliminary prototype of the final system ready for presentation. This prototype may not have the final housing or full functionality but will be able to demonstrate what the use of the system will entail.

 

The software for a basic main menu and the test itself will be complete and tested on the current hardware system. The menu should have interactive elements that should affect the functionality of the assessment.

 

The hardware should be mostly tested and complete for this prototype, with the exception of the Arduino controlled servo motors. This part of the hardware requires more time since a custom pellet dispenser is being modeled, 3D printed and tested. The printing requires multiple days to complete so this piece will be included in milestone 6 ee
